That tab is for a cross brace that we added to hold up the battery tray. Several people asked for this, so we added it.

thanks for noticing....sub looks good....one question tho AM IM NOT TALKING **** AT ALL!!!!!.. I HAVE A STEAL SUB FROM A COMPANY I WONT MENTION ANYMORE IN THIS FOURM........ but my question is i noticed your sub had alil bit of a bend to it where it mounts to the frame...is there a reason for this or you just wanted to make them alot diff then the comp not saying it looks weak or anything CUZ IT DOESNT!! i just was wondering for my own personal knowledge

oh and i know you probly havent had time to really test out your sub and i was hoping i could add my since ive been running one very similar to your......the cross brace i have circled in the pic is to weak........i bent mine with my heel in less then a week and its the same thinkness as yours....and im only 150 lbs!!!!i had to weld a cross brace from the same kinda steal tubeing that the subs made off.......and then it also gives you a place to mount a step plate.....i fuckinf love it now

 

We bent it the way we did so the battery tray would fit in right and since we ran double bar all the way back it made the top and bottom line up. The plate on the back is 3/16in. The one your speaking of was probably 1/8 in. It shouldnt bend, but If it turns out to be a weak point we will definately address it. We will probably incorporate a foot plate into the sub eventually. Thanks for your input man. It helps us to put out good products.
