the oil leak is your valve cover gasket, (head cover gasket). take it to your dealer and give them your vin number and they should tell you whats up. basically long story short they will repair it for you for free if its leaking. that gasket needs to be replaced. and what air box mod are you talking about? kleen air mod?

Re: airbox mod and a few questions for 07 zx6r?

I had that oil leak, got the gasket replaced and it returned. I believe I caused it with the clean air mod and leaving the factory T in place and active(when closed pressure builds and oil leaks) since then I replaced the T with one from the hard ware store and unplgged and took out the stock one, jumped the plug with a paper clip and wrapped it in tape. No oil leaking since. For the mod go from the T to the crank case with a hose and seal the open holes on the air box.

do you atleast know the idea of how it works? i can help you with detail on our bike but your probably better off looking at a 636 how to on here to get the idea... basically one difference is our pair valve thing is electrically controlled instead of vacum.

getting it done right for me i think it stopped the leak or maybe slowed it down. but maybe its cause i haven't been able to ride as much as i did when it was nice out side?

Re: airbox mod and a few questions for 07 zx6r?

have him do a search for a 636 kleen air mod so he has the idea and remember to plug the holes in the air box. and completly remove the factory t-thing and just jump the white connector with a staple or paper clip like already mentioned
