Re: What's your opinion?

True, I think there'd be alot of discussion about the risks we'd be taking. Like How comfortable would each of us be if the other totalled their bike? I would be pretty pissed, but on the other hand, I've thought alot lately about finding a way to get out of this debt. Not that it's not managable, but knowing what I know now, I wouldn't have bought brand new, and included all the warranty and service plans, and all the other crap that came in the purchase. There's a little part of me that wishes the bike was insured and someone totalled it.

And as I stated earlier, his bike would be streetable so that he can ride his, but for the cost of the stunt parts and getting the bike streetable again, I would be able to ride it whenever. He would only ride mine when I'm not using it, and mine is a daily driver. I think he'd be happy enough with his own being ridable again and stunted out on top of that free to him.

Re: What's your opinion?

i dont know about how your insurance policy works, but i know mine works like this: if my bike gets totalled/wrecked, my premium goes up if i am the one at fault. it doesnt matter if i am the one riding the bike. if i let a friend ride it and he wrecks it, MY insurance goes up, because they see me as more of a liability.

just dont do it.

Re: What's your opinion?

after thinking about it, I don't know if he could put insurance on my bike. Rather, the insurance would have to be in my name and I know he wouldn't be willing to pay that bill. after some thought and discussion with my friend it seems this may not be the way to go.
