Your only the 2nd person Ive hear of that has managed to rip the tabs off the frame, and this is my buddy who was the first...You cant see the impact but the bike actually hit the last I-beam in this shot...The funny part was his stay was still almost mint

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhP308UvfcE

Ive thought of using thinner plate, but then it would just bend like the 905's and other stays...And that was the worst part about the 905 besides the fact it didnt even fit, every hard drop it would shift the upper to one side and had to be taken off to be straightened...And after a few of those the metal became so fatigued it would bend so easy the next time around...

Bottom line you crash head on into something solid and something is goign to get fucked...And I even built a 04 600RR for this chick, and she low sided it like a week later...And even with the OEM stay she managed to rip off one of the mounting tabs...So it really depends on how and what it hits, even the weak *** OEM stays cant rip off tabs...

Anyways your replacement should be ready to go out on Monday or Tues. And its an updated one, just a little lighter then the 1st gen....
Me too! I jumped off a split second before impact. It disinigrated EVERYTHING besides the stay. Keep up the KILLER work, Johnny! Lookin forward to the new model!

.....don't like my electrical tape? The outer casing barely got rashed, so I taped it up so no moisture would get in there. It's a good cable, but thanks for lookin out!
