Fan switch mod....

Re: Fan switch mod....
da Liks......
Basically ran it spliced from the actual fan wires, to a relay under the seat with a ground and a pos wire to the battery. It protrudes right next to the forks, and my buddy is running something else so that it kicks on by itself like stock also. Just in case I forget to turn on the fan before I make whoolies!
My buddy does all of the wiring for car audio, so he hooked it up.
Make more videos man.... i miss them!

Re: Fan switch mod....
and if your running your bike hard, by the time the fan kicks on and starts to cool, your bike can hit around 240 then start to drop
And once your idling around the lot, your bike will always be turning the fan on and off and your bike will stay around 230
I like to leave my fan on tell my bike gets around 200 or lower

Re: Fan switch mod....
Both wrong. Find the wire that goes to the thermostat on the radiator. You will know it is the wire if you pull it out of the thermostat and ground it and the fan comes on (of course the ignition has to be on). Take a scotchlock to tap into this wire and run it to one side of a SPST switch and run the wire on the other end of the switch to any ground. This way with the switch on, the fan will be always on and if the switch is off it will run like stock and you will not forget and overheat your bike just riding around.
