Point is, he isn't involved in it. My friend got his 4 wheeler jacked right out the back of his truck and I saw the person ride off with it and I recognized him. I called my boy up, "Yo, your quad just got ridden off the back of your truck." "Did you see who did it?" "Yep. It was (insert name here). Don't bother with the cops, take a baseball bat with you and get your **** back yourself."

I don't come on here and preach FTP. So yeah if something of mine got stolen, damn right I'd call the police. I have a mutual understanding with cops. I don't **** with them and in return I don't get fucked with and get treated right.

"Snitch" is a prison term that convicted felons use to show distrust for someone that reports wrongdoing.....the rest of the law abiding world would call it doing the right thing and reporting a criminal act.......

If you don't report what you know, that makes you just as guilty in my book....this kid and his father will then know you are "cool" and they can hide stuff at your house...you know, the whole honor among thieves type thing.....

I wouldn't worry about reporting someone. Let them come to my house....gotta love Texas and the castle law....I got 25 clips that each hold 17 rounds for my pistol....it's gonna be a little bit before I have to resort to the shotgun, AR-15, or the mini-14.....and after all that, then I call the cops......

I have posted to rat other ppl out in threads here, to think I would do it and to be in the situation is WAY diff. Im not afraid of the dude comming after me, I work private sector and my 9 is on me unless im riding lot. I am afraid he will jack my bike when im not home for spite. He beat the wrap on the bike I know he stole and thats why the detective is so hell bent on nailing him. They have no evidence but the road leads to a suspected bike theifs parents residence. I know enough to put him away as the old school had a vanity plate, and I clearly saw #@$%^ sitting on the stolen bike.

Seems like Karma could swing both ways here..

 

first mistake was you told the cop you saw who it was. now you are in a bind. You can exspect to be bothered by the detective till you do or they will send you a letter to come testify when dude gets hemed up. Normaly i would say dont snitch but you alredy have in a way.

excatly. U got nothing to benefit from this, and the police damn sure don't help you do your job so why help them do theirs.
I mean, seeing that ur the only witness and all, you do know if the dude decides to go to court, you will be called in to testify right!
suppose he decides to go postal on you and ur family? u think the police gives a **** about protecting you? like dude said, just leave it alone, nothing good comes out of talking to the police... don't be surprised if they even try to say that ur involved. u know how dirty they can get!

just tell them u saw someone in the bushes with the bike, they had on a red shirt or whatever, but you cant make them out. tell them if they wanna know anything else talk to your lawyer, and thats that.

I had told him I saw the red bike, and then quit. They got this info from a statement another neighbor had seen that had not seen him in the woods on the busa. I fucked up when I stopped it should have clicked cops, location, stolen like it did when he started poppin questions. They wantin me to come in for questions I know the angle they goin at. If this never sees trial no PDA and no release of evidence with me envolved.
