how much do the pro's really make???
Re: how much do the pro's really make???
not gonna mention any names but there are alot of riders that make more then that a year from just riding and i know one that makes about 75 k a year and there are probably some that make even more , what do you think britton makes a year
more then 30k you can bet
if you commit , ride hard and get an agent making a living at stuntriding shouldn't be too hard but i for one wouldn't want to travel that much

I AM IN AWE here in the last year or so about all the factory backed riders.. gives me great hopes for this sport. Maybe I'll never be one of them but it says good things for us. The traveling wouldn't be so bad if u had a RV. My goal is to have a free candy winnabago!

I know racing like if you rode a whole season on michelins they would give you a visa with a certain amount and some race's had money prizes for 1st 2nd and 3rd. I never made what I spent but it does help. I made a lot of money when I was drag racing the bike streets you could make gas money but once you hit the track people drop serious money and they call it a grudge race. It wasn't uncommon to win/lose 2500 in a weekend and depending on the event or what was going on in town you could have a decent crowd and not only bet the person you were racing but have a friend post a bet on you with the other guys friends. Of course these races never show times and you need to know your bikes real good to race them and even better to know if you stand a chance.

An old friend of mine dad owned a race circuit here in MN and they had a guy come in and do back flip’s on his snowmobile b4 the race just to please the crowd and he told us every back flip he did he made $5,000.00 just for doing it on his sled the was also given to him and all done up from his sponsors. The owner later told me wow that back flippers is young and making a ton of $$ and get’s to travel the world for free.
I know you guys are talking about bikes but I kind of consider this to be some what the same….

Re: how much do the pro's really make???
Im def not pro but did stunt for a living for about 2 years ( makin money off of shows selling shirts and posters and sponsers product and so on) I averaged about 26k a year which wasnt bad for doing wut i loved but i think i spent around 40k trying to live the life style and in tickets and bail so i figured it was alot more fun to have a good job and ride for fun Now i have a lil money with a fresh bike and can ride when ever i want its a pretty sweet deal! So i just look at it this way i get paid to ride on the weekends and work all week for free it sounds better that way

The ratio is probably better, yes - but the top two NBA players make more in a year than ALL pro stunt riders combined, I'd bet.
I'm not talking ****, just saying - it's not about the money.
yet.
