I've had both, i LIKE THE 05-06 more. I like the subframe & tank more on the 03-04's. The 05-06 have a stronger motor, better suspension IMO

 

04 is the only one ive had but i have rode others and got me to convert mine. I got 08 wheels and forks and rotors and 06 swingarm an suspension i think its the best of both worlds imo.

 

thats the setup you want if you go 03-04



I've had both, and I like the 03-04, it feels smaller and I prefer the subframe and bigger tank. I got 06 forks, swingarm, rotors, and wheels on mine

 

same thing got 04 did the whole 05 06 conversion and got the best of both...

I can understand with you guys who already have the 03/04 putting some new updated parts on.

What about if someone is upgrading to a 636 in general?
Is it better to just get the 05/06??
Seems silly to me to look at buying an 03/04 then spending more to upgrade.
Any thoughts?

05-06 is the way to go. Everytime i ride a 03-04 now it reminds me of a f4i

 

I dont like the gas tanks on the 05/06s. I also like side exhaust better than undertail, I guess Im just old school that way.

 

eddie get the 03 04 and upgrade it! thats where the ballers ball i just got all my 06 636 stuff swing arm wheels forks and brakes cant wait to get that **** on

 

guys who ride 05/06 636's have an average of a 2 inch larger **** than those riding the 03/04 and also increases their likelyhood of having sex with hot ***** by 17% over 03/04 riders. its science

 

In that case, my 04 zx6rr is for sale or trade for 05/06 636

 

does that fix bill put up for the 03/04 forks work? i want to upgrade to a 636 but don't think i can afford to go with the newer one, or buy new forks. i also don't want my front end to blow up mid stoppie...

I had an '03 for 2 years and now an '05. '05 is definitly the best.

I like to just look at it even right before i go to bed i crack my garage door open just to look at it and make sure its still looking good sitting there in my garage haha.

for sure. that bike is sick. I have had both and i like the 03 04
