gsxr rim swap???
Re: gsxr rim swap???
yeah, it's a 5.5 inch rim and a stock 1000 rim is 6.0 but it will work
edit: not positive but i think the 750 spacers MIGHT be a bit wider so they would make it work a little better (less pinching of the swingarm), maybe someone else knows for sure... but i had a 600 rim on my 1000 back in 2003 and it worked fine

Re: gsxr rim swap???
if you can get your hands on the 750 spacers see if they are a bit wider than the 1000 spacers, if they are use them, if they're the same use whatever...
yeah, talked to Wade about that... I def WANT to come up for the weekend, it's all going to depend on my shop and how busy it is and how much needs to get done that weekend... hopefully i can get up there!!!

Re: gsxr rim swap???
I am 100% sure that if your putting a 1000 rim on a 750 you need the cush drive spacer (left hand side wheel spacer) from the 1000 to fit it in the 750 swingarm.
I'm not sure what spacers you use when you put a 750 rim on a 1000. I'm gonna guess that you use the 750 spacers to get the750 rim into the 1000 swingarm. All the gsxr's that use 5.5" rim use the same spacers so if you didn't have them you should be able to find em easily.
