I've never been able to get stomp grip to stick well (without using a really permanent adhesive/glue).
Surf board pads are excellent however. They are really malleable so they adhere well to tank dents.

stomp works fine just make sure you have a clean surface to stick it to... use alcohol to clean the bike.

thats wierd...did u spill gas on it afterwards? cuz ive had the same stomp grip on my bike for a year now, and on my previous bike it was teh same way...

I think it was because I had a harsh lip, and the stomp grip was pretty hard and it kept fighting sticking down in there.

stomp grip works well... but i think surfboard pad works even better! sticks well, is made to be waterproof, etc. AND it holds you very nicely in the tank without tearing up your jeans!

my tdent is behind thegas cap and isnt very deep. i want something that isnt so thick as to make my dent even less shallow.what is the best surfboard pad and whrere can i find it on the web??

+100000 much better agreed ... just dont have a leaky tank ..adhesive will be everywhere
