Re: stomp or grip???

I've never been able to get stomp grip to stick well (without using a really permanent adhesive/glue).

Surf board pads are excellent however. They are really malleable so they adhere well to tank dents.

Re: stomp or grip???

stomp works fine just make sure you have a clean surface to stick it to... use alcohol to clean the bike.

I had a perfectly clean surface, cleaned with the aclohol, even hunted down the 3m promoter they advocate and tried it. Still would not hold up doing tank circle combos well.

No gas, no nothing. It stuck well at first and would hold up for straight line combos, but as soon as I did a session of tank o's it'd start sliding around and then peeling off.

I think it was because I had a harsh lip, and the stomp grip was pretty hard and it kept fighting sticking down in there.

Re: stomp or grip???

stomp grip works well... but i think surfboard pad works even better! sticks well, is made to be waterproof, etc. AND it holds you very nicely in the tank without tearing up your jeans!
