i use to ride with andy baker and he was on a f4i long before hb and he had the motor control like none other, but he still could only do a mile or so, thats before oil pick ups and all that ****...5miles love to see that!!!

without handbrake, it would be all engine brake control, and 5 miles would seem like ten up there...
ran out of power? You were doing a power wheelie, not at balance point, thats why you ran out of power..

And f4i's dont need oil pickup's for highway, so idk what your tlaking about

and back in the day no one used the rear brake, it was all balance..

Hell the longest wheelie I have EVER done, was on my friends bone stock 636 with NO rear brake line on it! His brake line broke, and I took it off to get a replacement made, and I went out riding his bike
Ended up going a little over 6 miles staggard lol

Still haven't attempted to further WITH a brake

+1 at highway speed 5 mile with no hb is def doable. when i was a super squid i was doing 3 miles with no tank dent and no hb.

Re: Longest HC wheelie?

I saw at least a 4 or 5 mile high chair video on the Merrit Island Extremes website back in the day. I'm talking over 3 or 4 years ago and if any of you have heard of MIX you know they where old skool not even a team anymore. This is when circles were at the top of the food chain. I cant find the video anymore. I know it's possible with no handbrake.

definitely possible

just like you said, wrapping your legs, your gravy

How do you think people do no handed high chairs? Don't have to worry about arm pump for them!

I can't steer a highchair to save myself, so no long hc's for me

Re: Longest HC wheelie?

well im with him...not possible

not only balance but arm pump...and even when everyone was a squid on here, to do a mile or so took alot out of u...and yea i was riding a power/balance whoolie, but u still need power or sprockets to hold that bike up...

1st NICK HILL<<SCOOTER TRASH>> BACK IN THE DAY everyone had one of four bikes 929(just about everyone even today)954(dan jackson, kevin starboyz,ect..)GSXR750(jason brittion, diggy, ryan cramer) old the old tank 900rr nick hill had one of the sweetiest and longest highchairs, but in just about ever OLD SCHOOL viedo the bike was wineing out, sprockets wasnt a big thing yet so power does play a part

2nd ANDY BAKER <<STL SCHOCKER>>f4i power really wasnt a part for him(sprocket) but i was there for the first rotc and the second ect, he rode a highchair in first gear down the parkway, no hb, and he had one of the sweetiest hb i ever seen(that and hes 5 ft tall) u seen the whole exhaust when he rode one, even then, with all the balance in the world, and he had engine brake like none other, still could only ride one for a mile or two...then he blew his motor..!!

sorry thats just my opition...it might be possible, either way id love to see it!!

Re: Longest HC wheelie?

ive probably done about 4-5 mile hc's no handbrake on my 1000 back in the day. could change lanes n everything back then..
dont need a handbrake just need to know how to balance

havent done a long highway wheelie like that in years though... if i had the place to do it id say over 5 miles would be easy..

Re: Longest HC wheelie?

I've seen Crazy Martin do about 3 miles with my own eyes last summer on Hwy 167. He was killin spreaders and HC's with no handbrake on the old school 900 RR. He complained about arm pump so I would love to see video of someone doing 5 miles.

just cause 8 miles is all you can do double rear peg doesnt mean people aren't crushing 5 miles in highchair... not everyone has the time or resources to film what they do

Re: Longest HC wheelie?

I wish I had it on video. We did not video tape it. We where just out riding and he did it. It might not have been exactly 5 miles, but he did ride a HC for like 5 to 6 mins! It was way out on South OBT. I forgot that JYP turns into SOBT. It did happen! I never said he made it look easy. He did get arm pump like a bitch and had big red marks in his legs from the windscreen! We had to pull over and let him rest. He did have a dented tank. Back then the whole top of the tank was smashed in. Looked like a piece of fried bologna! LOL! Oh and this thead was not to talk **** about what happened back in the day. I was just wondering!
