how much should i pay

i know evolving a stocked bike into a stunt bike is sorry to sound cheesy but an artform.. but i have to start from srcatch AGAIN.. so my question is how much should i pay for a USED bike(would get NEW but my insurance quote was REDICULES ) looking at kawi636 or gsxr750 or 600.... i've seen the SI stunt kit special looking to get that and start from there.. but how much should i pay for for the bike... im thinking of getting the cheapest one i can get and built it up from there.. or what do you think....
Hope i dont get much S#IT for this but i thought i should ask fellow stunters thanks for your time...

Re: how much should i pay

$3,000. for a fully set-up, used LOT bike is about average give or take a few.
I'd say be willing to drop more skrilla than that for a fully set up street legal bike.

And insurance?? That thuggin ain't easy huh? LOL

It all depends on the bike, find one and give details about it and people can answer how much its worth. Just saying I want a stunt 636 or gsxr is not enough info to give a price range.

Wait a month and there will be a **** ton of bikes for sale cheap with people hurting for money after xmas.

Re: how much should i pay

the reason you probly got an outrageous insurance quote is because if you take out a loan on a new vehicle the bank wants you to have the full coverage. i said the hell with that bullshit and bought my gsxr750 brand new in 2003 with a personal expenses loan. the interest was higher but i paid it off pretty quick. with this economy now good luck! lol. just get an f4i or 636 used for like 3500-4500 bucks and youre good to go! the 2 top stuntbikes to have....or hell you can get an wrecked f3 on craigslist for cheaper than dirt.

Re: how much should i pay

he wanted a STREET bike though... that means he'll need a title...

and I'd get full coverage on ALL of my bikes.

I pay $100./month for: full cov. on an 05 malibu, 06 gix,& my 02 F4i, then I got
liability only on a 92 mazda mini-van, and 65K worth of renter's insurance.
Just gotta know how to shop for it and go for the multiple policy discounts...

f4's are good cause there relatively cheap(for a bike thats not already beat to ****) and you can upgrade to the f4i motor later

the difference between full coverage and liability for me is like 200 a month or 200 for a full year, I figure if I do get into a wreck with someone else it will most likely be their fault anyway.

look on craigslist, you will come across some deals, ive seen a few very nice 636 for $3000 and low miles. i just bought a 03 636 with less then 10,000 miles with clear title for $1900. and that ****** runs like a champ and looks good to.
