Re: Zero's or O'z

I struggle with Zeros too,I idle in 2nd with the steering locked in but for some reason I get almost the same effect as K5 there....the bike sort of highside and goes into another direction.... But I think is all about brake control leaning in... just have to get over that falling over feeling when pushing on the brake....

Re: Zero's or O'z

Get your idle where you want it. So it has a little pull when you let off the brake. Slow it down to a couple mph. Turn the bars all the way as far as they go. Either way. To learn, I suggest goin left. Right is just as easy, but with the brake being on that side, just to be safe, go left. The bars need to be mashed as far as possible to the frame. As its spinning, hold on with your throttle hand and slowly let go of the other. Don't throttle it. Just hold on and feather the brake. DO NOT STEER. Your hand should be pushing the bar up if anything to keep it turned all the way. When you are controlling the speed how you want it WITH BRAKE CONTROL, let the right hand off. If it starts comin up off its spin, press the brake a little. If you get scared, mash that brake and lay it down. You just have to step off But if you are still havin trouble, try *** draggin it with your left foot at first. But mashin the brake will drop it. Just don't jump off til your bike has killed its engine. I had a couple zeros bog then I step off slightly and it took off. Ended ugly

I dunno if your being sarcastic or not
But dirt bikes are totally different compared to sport bikes for christs.. Dirt bikes are hard as ****, just they way they are setup
but sport bikes, SOO easy, no need for a damper. I wouldn't even see a damper 'helping' at ALL unless your trying to do 70mph crhists..

Hell before I could wheelie, or do a pop-a-stoppie, I was doing christs for blocks on my fzr600 at 40mph
So friggin easy, all you gotta do is stand up and now blow off the bike

and on Zeros, just takes practice.. Actually took me a good 15-20 minutes of practice to lock them in, but now that I got them, simple as can be.

damn 2nd gear, you must be cruisin when you do them

I use 1st gear with a +14 sprocket

And its kind of like doing circle wheelies.. you have to commit, and LET it lean over.. The reason your high siding, is you start to lean in, and your mind tells you your leaning in to far, so you lean out, and high side..

Gotta keep leaning in just like a circle, and not let the bike go to the outside

of course, zeros are much more forgiving, don't have to worry as much about getting hurt, at least I've never wrecked one lol
