im pretty sure it was done around and around a Nascar track and he was refuelled while wheelieing. Doug still holds it im pretty sure!

One of Doug's most notable accomplishments was setting the world record for the longest wheelie in 1984 going an amazing 145 miles. For ten years Doug's long distance wheelie record was published in The Guinness Book of World Records, where he had a two page spread. In 1992 a Japanese trials bike rider broke the record going 206 miles

and to my understanding the guy that went over 200 had a small motor hooked up to his front wheel to keep it spinning too...that way the bike didnt wobble back and forth...ive done 7miles myself and i know after 1ish it starts to wobble for me...makes it fun lol and talk about arm pump..ahh!

I want to make sure everyone gets it right....My boy is just trying to beat the 24.4 mile wheelie done by the streetfighters....I was just curious what was the longest ever done was....It is just some friendly compition for him....He will never go that far to brake the record, I just wanted to know what it was.

Also don't read this thread and start thinking my boy or I have anything against the streetfighters...We both think there sick....Just want to see if he can go longer and get it on video....I am sure if he can that someone will beat his with another one...

Vaughn was switching stances. Mostly ss I think. And I saw a video a long while back of either Doug's record or the guy who beat his. It was through Europe on streets somewhere. I remember him goin around some tight corners in some small *** European roads. I'll try and find a link to it somewhere when I get home. Can't remember for sure who it was. It was over 5 years ago that I saw it.

Yeah Ed went over 30 (not sure of exact distance) about three years ago, check the bonus footage on BOTB for vid of us talking about it... That was on a stunt set-up 636, but i dont remember what gearing.

I went 31 something on a GSXR1000, all stock w/ a HB, two summers ago.

I did a search on this a while back, you use to be able to search guinness world records website, but you cant anymore, anyway some chinese guy road a wheelie for like 235 miles or something like that, I know it was well over 200 miles, and broke doug domokos' record. So far no one has beat that.
I think doug domokos was the first guy to do wheelie circles, but I could be wrong on that one. doug was an innovator of stunt riding.
