I dont know if you guys are getting this same promo in the US, but I just went to our dealer show here in Toronto on the weekend. And I nearly **** myself when I saw the promo they have going on 09 ZX6R and ZX10R

If you buy a 09 10 or 6 you get to choose one of 4 performance parts options They had a bike on display, with all the option on it

#1 Full Akro EVO(full ti) or RACE(SS) exhaust system
#2 Ohlins TTX rear shock
#3 BRAKING forged wheel and wave rotor set
#4 Attack racing bodywork and rearsets

That was the best promo at the show period! Honda was all about their BS ABS that you have to pay and extra $1500 for

Think i would have to take the shock... but that's if i was buying it as a streeter...

if it was for a stunter i think i would take the wheels...

 

Yup you get the parts on top, seperate and uninstalled...Because on the site it says they reccomend you have the parts installed by a Kawi dealer....

From what they told me, when you actually buy your bike and are registered with Kawi Canada that you bought an 09 10 or 6 they send you like a rebate package in the mail....Then you can take that to a Kawi dealer choose your part and they order it in for you...

 

IMO the highest value is the wheels, then the Akro, then the shock and the worst deal is the bodywork/rearsets.....

I can get that shock for $1500, the pipe is closer to $2000, the rims are over $2000....

The best part is I was already planning on buying an Akro EVO, so I just saved $2000

If I didnt already have aftermarket wheels waiting for the bike, I would have went wiht the wheels rotors...I got those BRAKING SK rotors too

I cannot ******* wait, my bike has landed in Canada already...Dealer said they just have to pick it up and get it to the shop, assemble and PDI it...And I can pick it up sometime this week! My Bday is on Thurs, I hope I get the present I bought myself...

 

Yes but you'll get the most performance improvement from the Shock...

 

I dunno about that! With the Akro EVO you loose 16lbs, and gain 8HP bringin the bike to a total of 122HP at the wheel....

I had a Ohlins shock on my 03 R6, and yes it was a nice shock, better then OEM, but not as big an improvement as +8HP...

So youve snapped the all new SHOWA PIG PISTON FORKS that come on the 09's

Thats pretty cool you must work for Kawi if youve already tried them? Because those are new forks that have never been used on a production bike untill this 09 ZX6R...


You must be a Honda fan? Well do you know that the same company makes the forks for Kawi and Honda now...Kawi doesnt make their own forks they buy them from the same company Honda does "SHOWA" since 05....So if you want to point fingers at who fucked up when those forks were breaking on the 03/04's, it was the company that Kawi used to buy forks from "KYB"

I guarantee 90% of the people buying the bikes wouldn't be normally pushing the bike into the upper eschilon of it's performance, in order to notice a diff between racing suspension and OEM stuff. Just my

I'd take the wheels first and exhaust second as well. That's based off common sense and basic knowledge of the value of the parts. I wonder how many people don't even know about the promo that buy the bikes?
