Re: bending bars

You gotta take your chances heating them up and try to bend. My guess, they'll break.

I got some stock 636 clipons you can use...$55 shipped.

Re: bending bars

I don't know why yours are cocked? I flipped mine on my 06 gsxr and moved them out and they are pretty much straight as an arrow

Im not sure how the 636 clipons compare to the stock gixxer clipons.

I know the 636 clipons fit on a gixxer because thats what I used on my gsxr 750

Re: bending bars

even if you dont break them while straiten them i would not trust riding it when your done. aluminum should just be left alone it is a week material you start bending and stressing it it will fail.I would just buy the 636 clipons the dude below is selling

Re: bending bars

just buy some vortexs or freestyle ingenuity and your problems are solved. plus you got more room for a handbrake than with stock clipons.

I box my clip on's with regularity...Then I take them out.. bend them back as straight as I can, and put them back in the base. I run FI and Vortex on each of my bikes and yes I run them loose.. even spun all the way around they'll bend... I run blank stock pieces of bar stock, and the bars that came with them both....
But you should know that a few bends in your bars aren't going to ruin them... lol
Now repeatedly bending it back and forth can make any metal weaker, but once just to get them where he wants them wouldn't make me not "trust" them to ride even for a second...

a little bend hear and there is one thing but if they look like i think they do thats a big bend. i just dont trust bending stock clipons cause the way they are designed.the bar can snap cleen off at the clamp ive seen it on an R6. now aftermarket 2 piece is a whole ball game i still think he should just snag the 636 clipons they are nice expesualy for the price dude was asking

I have my **** set up so that I get the most recently posted post at the top of the page, and it goes in decending order from newest to oldest. Opposite of how the default settings are. so I sometimes read these things in reverse or only the most recent 3 or 4 without getting to the original post! <<Make sense? LOL

I didn't even know someone was offering him some other clip on's for cheap... AFtermarket ones right? **** spending any money twice!!!
And I just got used to my clips swapped flipped and turned out eventually and then bought aftermarkets... It takes a short while and then you'll not like the feel of the straight ones when you upgrade!.
