yea the 929 is not all that fast its fast yea but nothing compared to newer bikes.

i like it because of the looks and how it rides.

i have my gearing at -1 up front and +2 in the rear.. it works awesome

for the street that extra torque is where its at. Not mention if you ride highway alot, or even at all, I hate turnin 8-10k at 70-75 mph on a softly geaed 600. The 929 will be better for highway imo. On the street torque is more important than hp, to me.

Never circled mine stock, but with a little gearing I felt like it was easier than the F4i.. The idle is real strong

I didn't have the kleen air back then, we didn't know about it.

But I had the exhaust valve and airbox valve eliminated and had the idle straight into the TB and it pulled like a beast

Re: circling a literbike? whos still on a 1000

929's might have less peak hp than even some new 750's, but its got more torque and hp along the way, so if your not riding above 9k all the time, 929 is sweet. I love the absolute linear power curve.

what did you do with the exhaust valve?
did you remove it completly or do you block it in some position or so?
and how?
