was at the local spot tonight for about 2 hour, all cracked out on energy drinks. riding fast and reckless, coming in hard to stalls and clutching out to 50 or fig8'n sheit. that an alil switchback practice. i felt when it first started, halfway throu the session. it might have been cracked before tonight. but i remeber feeling it start. sucks. i assume the carrier for these are not cheap. luckily it didnt break an jam up or anything crazy.
i wouldnt have stopped riding if amy wouldnt have said something about my bike making funny noises

i was told they were magnesium when i bought them but pretty damn sure there the aluminum ones.

time to get them straightend and powdercoated

kawi has never put magnesium rims on their bikes. Only bike i know that has them stock is definitely not a jap bike.

ya thats what i meant. i bought it used. came with a set of marchisini's and a set of stock rims. they are the forged aluminum ones im pretty sure thou not magnesium. althou i think the carriers are magnesium?!

Well scrape the broken parts of the metal with a screwdriver. Magnesium is hard but it crumbles when you break it. Aluminum won't crumble into pieces when you break it. It will stretch more.

ill just go with "i assume there aluminum"

Maybe it has something to do with those garbage aftermarket pads your running...

That carrier shouldnt be too much though, I just ordered my Carrozzerias and I upgraded the rear rotor to their floating rotor. But I wanted the regular OEM rotor carrier adaptor in case I didnt like the floating one...It was only an extra $40 to get the carrier that holds the stock rotor...

 

Granted Marchisinis are more expensive, but I cant see that carrier costing more then $60-100. If it does Id have one of my freinds that works at a machine shop make me one...
