Re: Monster Energy Kawasaki

One of the Rocket Nation bikes is already green...

--

Like I did this season, One of my monster bikes will remain prominently green with just minor pink highlights...

while the rest of my 09s will be the reverse with green highlights on a pink bike.

Monster is very particular over the rules and regs of their logo, i recieved a disk about it but havent actually viewed it yet.. i know that the logo will be in their traditional green colouring and requirements..

--

cant post the pics of the girls.. specifically asked not to! which sucks! lol.

--

i dont want the monster edition zx6rs! i dont like the green seat.. besides i get all my bikes painted up anyways so its not worth getting the special edition just to detroy em eh!?

--

johnny! lets talk! ha
good luck getting that bike on the 2nd week of dec..

2nd or 3 week of Dec is what they said, I know youd probably like to think your the only one with an 09 right now, but my local dealer already has one on the show room floor....Their stocking order for the year is supposed to be there in March, but they owe me a favor so they special orderd 3 of them for me and 2 of my freinds. They said they will have a solid arrival date for me the first week of Dec, when the bikes are actually shipped from Japan... To be honest it doesnt really matter when as long as its before March so I have time to get it set up for summer here...

Im getting the Monster, one freind is getting the blue, and the other the orange which you guys wont be getting in the US...We get and orange instead of the all black for Canada....

Heres the one at my local dealer, if we already have one here in Canada they are probably readily available in the US...As we usually get things way later then you guys in the US....And you know I aint bull shitting about this being in Canada, just peep the winter jacket on that eskimo checking out the bike. Oh and cant forget the road salt stains on the tires..

Love the bike from what Ive seen and just sitting on it, besides the Ohlins dampner...It was on full clicks and felt like my aftermarket Ohlins on 1 click....Ive heard they werent as good as the aftermarket ones, but I didnt know they were that bad...At least you get the mounting though...

As for the Monster Ed its only $300 more and I already got a sweet price, and my local dealer is only getting 4 total....So I figured why not

There are no real pictures of the orange yet, Kawasaki.ca only has photoshopped pics...And you know how that goes it can be totally different then the real color. I know its called Candy burnt orange, and the 08 ZX10 has a color with the exact same name...My friend is really hoping its that ZX10 orange and not the redish orange of the 05/06 636...

Our manufactures show is comming up Dec 12th, thats the first chance well get to see the actual orange...And I'll be sure to take some pics of it, and post them up here...

Yeah your probably right about them actually being here for Jan and not Dec...They were probably just telling me what I want to hear, but either way Dec, Jan anything is better then March...One guy that bought one is a Honda guy and was waiting for the 09 600RR, but the biggest Honda dealer here wont even have one in their show room till march...And its more money too! So I got him on the Kawi bandwagon

From what I read not all the 600rr's come with ABS. Its a grand more for it!

Honda is going green though....

Is the ABS standard for US or a option? In Canada its going to be an option....They are going to have regular 600RR's and 600RR ABS here...

The 600RR is alright but Honda slacks when it comes to making changes and giving new technology...That and I dont like the 4 year redesign period, I like the complete new bikes every 2 years Kawi is poppin out...

It's cool having new ****, but I almost feel, that manufacturers are just shitting bikes out now, not really putting a TON of R&D into them, just building something thats 'new' and putting it on the market..

In the 90's manufacturers would have the same model for 10 years, then spend years developing new technologys..

now it seems like they just throw something together and get it out there so they can make a quick buck

I can understand that but in 03 Kawi was the first to put USD forks and radial mount brakes on a 600...Now those parts are expected on every bike....So its not like they are doing things that dont end up working and sticking around...And the list goes on, OEM wave rotors, and now the new BP forks. I like what their doing, and just havent been impressed with any of the new Hondas...They came out with ABS, something that even if I wasnt stunting, I still would have no intrest in that at all...
