905 racing Race Armor..
I was looking into the 905 race armor. I like them because they have delrin versus the aluminum ones that sick has. I just need rails, I was thinking about running a cage. But for the time being, I'm only looking to learn wheelies.
The rails should be good enough for learning wheelies right? Or should I get a cage? Like I said I dont plan on learning anything else yet.

powers cages are good bulky and they are hard to get ahold of at time but are solid...... check out tygershark as well they have a nice warranty..... and +1 on a 12 bar they're good to have an will save ur tail when u go past ur BP.....

Yeah,
I think a cage is where its at but they are huge and I'm not looking for something that bug but its the best.... Tygershark most likley. I like their spring loaded sliders.
Whats a good 12 bar? and I'll have to cut the tail right?

Re: 905 racing Race Armor..
rails look good, but on a hard drop...a cage will provide ALOT more protection..just get the cage and a 12' and u'll be good...i highly recommend SI cages. sick innovations are the ****...just my opinion

yeah, I've been researching all of this lately and that seems to be where its at. SI cages have that under support right? Do I have to drill out my plastics? I already have them drilled for the "normal" sliders, but what about this cagE? Will it bold up in place of my "normal" sliders.

They are available with the delrin rather than aluminum sliders. Here's the link.
IMO S.I. al around have fair prices I think they are like $50 cheaper on cages and their street cages are $129.99 I think. Pretty good price for protection and excellent quality.
And now their running a special no shipping charges.

Re: 905 racing Race Armor..
Yeah I seen that..
I dont want to go full out stunt like alot of your guys do. I just want to learn wheelies mainly, maybe other things. But now, I'm just set on wheelies. But I guess a cage is still the way to go? Are the sicks low, as far as turning and all of that? Also, cheapest place to get them?
what about drilling my plastics more?

Just oreder directly from S.I. he is PUNKON1WHEEL. Street cage IMO is fine for what you're doing, heck I learned with sliders. lol
Full cage will save the bike more on a hard fall, but if you're not going to hit the lots and just ride with your buddies and occationally pull over to practice, street cage will be fine IMO.

Yeah I'd like to get the street cage, but what if ya know? Id rather spend a bit now and not later. If im going to get a cage, I'm going to go all out and street fighter it prolly.

Re: 905 racing Race Armor..
i thought thats what they were for
and if your wanting to learn street wheelies i wouldnt worry about a cage cuz if you loop going fast your bike is going to be rough with or w/o cage rails.... i know a whole bunch of people will disagee but thats my

Re: 905 racing Race Armor..
If your doing fast **** on the highway and you loop out the bike is trash with or without a cage. and if your doing slow **** in the lot your gona want a cage not race armor. cause the bike tends to fall from strait up and down which is a big impact. as for the spring loaded sliders that tygershark has is a gimmick i dont care what anyone says. you can put the spring on a table and hit it with a hammer and claps it no problem. now what happens when a 400lb bike lands on that ****??

different springs have different compression rates so it depends on which ones they have if they are useless or not
