Stuntin!

I am new to the stunt seen and the motorcycle seen. I have had my bike for 2 months now and been practicing stunts since I got it lowered a month and a half ago. My question is how do you maintain speed when doing a christ or skitchin off the back of the bike? I have a '03 gixxer 600. I don't have but one other person around me that stunts and we are both learning together so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

sclevela is right raise your bike back up. Sport bikes aren't meant to be lowered it screws up the way it rides. for a christ or skitchin most older bikes had a choke before fuel injection. Other wise just put it in neatral and coast.

put it in 2nd or 3rd and crank up the fast idle (looks like a choke but its not a choke). And listen to sclevelavelava. :P Raise that biatch back up. I dont see the point in lowering a sixhundy, if you are gonna drag, just strap the front.

Well they are both right the only time you wanna drop it is if you are drag racing and you dont need that. But on both of my bikes i have eithier pulled the choke or turned up the idle but on a new bike wiht efi you will just have to haul *** and stick it in nuteral. But just remeber on doing christ dont take your time standing up just do it stand straight up it makes the bike wobble if you take your time. Just from my experince if you wanna see some pics of me on mine so you can kinda see the form. E-mail me at John@corpusmotorsports.com

On the gsxr 600 you don't have to just haul *** and put it in neutral, a lot of the stunt riders on the newer gixers are using the idle cable from the srad style cause they screw right in where your idle screw goes and voila u have an idle adjustment.

01-03 gsxr 600s have a choke lever but it is actually a fast idle. The 00 and 01 750s have em too. The 02 and up 750s and 1Ks do not have them, in which case, you can figure out a way to put one on.

Tick_9se7en3 makes a valid point though. I am almost finished building a remote control kill switch out of old RC parts we will see how effective it is when the time comes.. hehe.

I lowered the bike cause I couldn't touch ground with my feet enough to balance the bike. Before this I dropped it 2 times so I had to lower it. And thanks for the info.

You can't balance a GSXR 600 at rest and you wanna stunt the thing?? Good luck kid.

Don't get it twisted. I'm not telling him to quit. I'm just saying ... you gotta start somewhere, and starting out stunting before you know how to ride is bad news. You gotta learn the bike first.

Good luck anyway man.
