I do love the look of the undertail exhausts, but these motors make much better power and performance with a standard side mount exhaust....And Im glad they went back for 09....Let Honda stick with the undertails, they are always underpowered anyways...

hey jonny p is that for real then about the power with the side mounted pipe? i wanna put a side mounted pipe on mine and if its more power ill deffo convert it.

I didnt realize it makes more power with a side exhaust. Is that because there are less bends and a shorter run.

I want to put a side exhaust on or a motorwerkx, but I think it will be a bitch gettin the HP shipped state side

Yes undertail exhuasts are not ideal for making power, too much lenght and too many bends....Kawi tossed the undertail exhaust for 09 because of this, and this is also one of the reasons the 03/04 motors made the most power...These motors can simply make more power with a side mounted exhaust....

Look at some of the other bikes out there aswell that have gone back to side mount, like the new ZX10, 1000RR.....

every legit dyno comparison ive ever seen showed the 05/06 making more power than the 03/04
