Circles?? acceptable learning curve

was having a chat with a friend about learning circles and how long it should take...

of course there many factors that come into play but say u ride a couple hours 2 days a week and a solid session 1 day outta the weekend...
how long woulld u say it should take to get the concept of basica circles down?

i know from my experiance it took me a solid 8-9 months to get them locked where i could do as many as i wanted each time...
and still when i try to learn new combos it takes me time...

ok so i guess u can answer 2 questions...

how long should it take an average joe to get circles locked? days? months? years or 5?

and how long did it take you to lock basica circles?

Theres no way of being able to tell, its all in the person and how much they are able to ride imo. Some people can ride everyday, others can ride once a month.

Re: Circles?? acceptable learning curve

some people never learn, I was dragging my feet right away but could never get more than 1 with the foot up, then about 6 or 8 months later when trying seat stander circles, something clicked, I felt the sweet spot, a few weeks of practice after that and they were easy.

Re: Circles?? acceptable learning curve

i cant do 'as many as i want', but id say im okay at them... given our season is about 4-6months long here in maine, it took me just over 1 season to get to the point im at now (from not knowing what stunting was, to turning ss circles, rl circles, and starting flamingo, and comboing in and out of the three.)....i gave up on staggered. they still feel funny.
