A thought on stoppies

I gotta say, I've been thinking about stoppies a lot on my time off from riding since I moved up here from Florida.......

Out of all the trick platforms, I feel stoppies haven't progressed much in the sport. I've seen slalom stoppies only twice, and I think they show a supreme amount of balance and control on the front wheel. Why doesn't anyone do them?

Also, would it be possible to do an "S" stoppie? Cut it to one side ninety degrees, straighten it and pull it to the other ninety.......

I think if someone pulled that off it would be way more than . It would be godly.

Clearly you have not been to an event lately or watched any of the runs online.

that was one stoppie with a 90 at the end. Gary Rothwells been doing that since 1994. I do feel a tiny tiny bit stupid for watching a 1:15 video of a 0:05 stoppie though

obviously you dont do stoppies .. like all other sports , someone comes along raises the bar and the sport goes to further lengths to be extreme.. wheelies started as 4thgear rev -limiter 140mph double front peg wheelies, more people wanted to be different and started raising the bar .. unless you roll smooth , clean and consistent 300+ ft , your not even considered a stoppie rider .. imo .. and in our stunt community , not many can do that, but when the numbers start doubleing , you will see them pushed to new limits .. sorry if i bounced all over there ..!!
