im a newb in the lot. i have rode 1 stunt bike in my day. i got idle a few times within an hrs practice but nothing good. i 12'd once and jumped off but i saved it w/out dropping the bike. i def know BP on my r1, i can do stagger , ss's flamingos some mild basic combos and below BP spreaders . but im ditchin the r1 to have some fun

Re: 636 vs f4i

I had an f4i before, super great bike except for the bog and the fact that its a really old bike with bad frontend. Very durable and the most stabile bike I´ve ever rode.

636 03-04, had one this whole year and I loved it, pulls great on idle, great for everything, not as durable as the f4i. When I sold it I had cracked my frame and my 3rd gear was popping in and out all the time.

Now I bought a 05 636 and I still havent set it up right, but as it is now I have to get a better rear brake cause the idle pulls so much that my rear brake cant handle it. Great for nohanded circles and more power than the 03-04 636. Way better for endos as well, but it feels more unstable on the straightline combos, maybe cause Im not used to the power and are more choppy on the throttle, I dunno.

Re: 636 vs f4i

I had an F4i sold it to get a 05 636. Didn't like it. Now looking for an F4i again, but 03-04 636 is tempting but hate to make the same mistake.

Re: 636 vs f4i

F4i's can take a real beating, great learner bike. the R6 is a nasty track bike and i love mine, but imo as far as stunting its not even in the top 3 best choices.

i learned on a 03 636, then i got an 04 636, now i have an f4i! so i did it backwards. but the f4i is real easy to ride, after being on a 636 for so long!

i bought a frame for $850 clean title...i have about 4 of them right now if you want to buy one...

then i found a bike with everything minus a front rim in pieces for $800, i drove to get it about 2 hours and he lowered it to $750, cost me about $50 in gas

so we are at $1600...
----------------------------
got brake lines made for $110...dual front, rear, dual caliper handbrake line

ez pull clutch lever i had given to me, 07 hb i had off a crashed bike
front rim i paid $80 for with rotors and a tire
dirtbars i paid $140 with the mount
came with a cage, sprocket, 12 bar and TONS!!! of extra parts

$1930, had to buy fluids, epoxy for a hole in the tank, wire parts to hard wire the fan on..**** like that
