Re: good deal?

shipping...thats not fun. i was looking at buying a bike and getting it shipped here from texas(im in illinois), and the cheapest i really found was at least 400. normally closer to 500. best bet for you is craigslist.

Re: good deal?

well...i would have done that, but it was going to be the first time i had ever rode a motorcycle. i didnt think hoppin on a k3 gixxer 600 and riding it 700 miles with no experience/license/insurance lol. just didnt seem like a good idea at the time. found an 03 R6 local and it was a decent price, so i took it...and the parents STILL have no idea. had it since sept 2nd lol

i love craigslist

Re: good deal?

yeah...but i figured i would almost do it the legal way. get a permit and ride on that. now i got that msf course out of the way, and i should have my license here in a week. gotta put a new stator cover on the bike and then shes good to go. ridable right now, but i dont want oil all over my foot when im done.

Re: good deal?

haha i got my license this summer cuz i finnally got stopped in my home town where the cops know who i am and would be waiting at my door step when i got home if i tried to run.. but luckly the cop was sympathetic with my situation even catching me do a christ.... and only got me for fix-it ticket, said he had a sportbike at home.. but i figured thats not somethin that happens everyday and got my licence couple weeks later

Re: good deal?

yeah...that prolly wasnt a bad idea. my buddy got pulled over on my bike while i was waiting on a parking permit, and he got nailed for it. put my bike right in an impound lot too. he was pissed when i made him pay the cost to get it out
