Question Yamaha 2nd Gear

Any1 Else Notice 2nd Gear Slippage On The Yzf's?..i Let A Freind Use The Bike In Exchange For His Car For About 20 Min,and I Got It Back With No 2nd Gear..i Changed Out The Engine And Evry Now And Again It Wont Kick Into 2nd When Im Crackn It,it just slips into nutral..am I The Only1??

u need to replace:
2 nd gear
6th gear
Shift pawl
Shift drum
Left shift fork

I learned to wheelie on a 95 yzf, shiftin gears with no clutch eats tranys on these

those bikes have garbage transmissions that just dont last.

i rode hard as hell last night with my boys and afterword noticed that. scary stuff when you try to go into second and you shift out the power band. i finally popped it in 2nd and my back tire busted loose like crazy. its only doing it near redline though but yeah im having the same problem on my '00 r6

ive also got monster Harley grips that i havent swapped out yet so though im pulling the clutch in as far as i can maybe its not really in neutral!

yeah, i think yamaha finally added more dogs to their gears or something....i may be wrong, but newer bikes don't have such a problem like the yzf's and older r6's did

they are all like that till the fuel injected units came out the shifter forks bend really easy in the carbed ones

Ya Def Is The Bike..cause Even After Changn Out The Engine,it Continues..and I Dont Think Its Ya Grips Dippah,like U Said Its When The Bike Is Near Or At Redline..cause Ive Even Had It Jump Out Of First Into Nutral On A Hard Downshift

I tried lookin for these parts online and came up short. would they be called something else or do i need to go to a dealer?
