I did 10 nd it was clean, but I had to tap it past the case with a hammer. I would say do 8mm.

check this link and you don't have to weld juse go to lowes and buy a piece of flat stock very simple

I got almost a full 3/4" with bolt on.... about 17-18mm.

i found an extra clutch arm in my extra parts so im gonna use that and try doing this today and to make sure just go 1/2 inch right with the bolt on method?

can i do this while the clutch arm is still on the bike?

no you have to pull the cover . i just layed my bike onn its side that way you don't have to drain your oil

Is there any way to do the KJ method with the motor still in the frame? I remember KJ did his with his motor out....

You can go 12.5mm or 1/2" on the f4i, but you WILL have to bend it past the motor case, and past the frame.

I've done 4 f4i's, all exactly 1/2", and they all worked fine.. But it is kind of a pain to install the arm.

Btw with a MSR + 1/2" extended arm, I still only use half my total clutch pull at the lever

A MUST have mod, no longer does my clutch finger ever fatigue.

+1 ya can definitely go longer with a bolt setup, but I just wanted my **** done for free, and ez, plus I like to play with the welder any chance I get!
