Re: Dirt bike Bar's ???

If anybody wants to run a damper with Dirt Bars, this is Fullthrottle's new setup. It doesn't hurt that Bill is a mad scientist and comes up with the pretty sick stuff, especially because it works. The clamps go on any 50mm forks and the bars are notched so there's no chance of them pulling out.

Re: Dirt bike Bar's ???

dirt bars are gangsta!!! if u re rout ur lines right, u shouldnt need longer lines, i got dirtbars on vboth my bikes havent realy had a problem, use a little lock tight on the inside of the throttle and it should stop it from turning on ya. i say go with em, im running scary gary bars and i love the space and room that they have!!!!

Re: Dirt bike Bar's ???

I got a clamp already drilled w/ a set of black TAG clamps and some low rise bars if anyone is interested. I just took it all off yesterday. I will even include my custom bar ends.
You can reroute and reuse your clutch cable and throttle cables. You may be able to reuse your brake line but it will be tight. I got one 3" longer when I installed them.
$85 shipped takes it. Lot cheaper than a brand new setup and if you were going to do it yourself I saved you the trouble of trying to find the right spot to drill the holes. Here's some pics.

I do and I don't. They worked great for me. I just like the flipped clamp and clip-ons up top a bit better. It feels more like a street bike this way. With the db bars it felt, well, like a dirt bike. Like everything else on a bike, either way has its pros and cons.
Mainly, I ride to and from work on this bike and I never liked my gauge setup w/ the db bars. Plus, I just felt like it sat me too high up when cruising around at 65-70mph.
