All right, I am the 1000th person to post on this subject.... yay!

So, I have noticed that there seems to be a problem getting oil pickups in general......... I have toyed with the idea of starting to fab up some pickups........ I have done my daytona 955i so far, and was thinking about picking up some popped motors to use to jig out some pickups for several types of bikes....

What is the demand?

What motors should I make them for?

What would be a good price? I've seen em for 80 shipped, does that sound fair?

I heard the r6 needs it in the earlier years, and beyond that I'm not sure... My 636 never needed it, but the Daytona had a mid/ almost forward pickup, and I never felt comfortable with it.

I am in the market to buy popped motors, even just the block, oil pump, pickup, and pan.... for several types of bikes.

Let me know. I don't have anything else better to do, I should be able to pop out several a day, if the demand is high enough........

definalty the 05 and under gsxr's need them bad.

I'm not sure about 06 and up.

f4i and 636's are alwasy popular so im sure you will sell a good amount. same with the 04-05 gsxrs

thats the reason stuntex doesnt have em

and 636's dont need em

 

i made one for my 03 600rr cause the light would come on if i stalled it at balance point (to jump to high chair) or brought it back to the pipe and stalled it

 

is the pickup built into the block???

I think you should make some for f4i, 636 , fixxers , kawsucki and yamahahahaha. some people just want to be safe with their motor and will probably spend around 60 tops and yes i think its reasonable price. at this end i know fixxers will always need oil pickup no matter wat.

 

oh and one more thing ..i can get all blown motors at salvage shop in plympton ..lemme know if you need any.

636 does NOT need one, it already has one thats in the optimum spot, cant fix something that aint broke. my 600rr never had the oil light come in from stalls or anything...my 04 gsxr is the only one the oil light came on at idle with. and no one should stunt those bikes anyway. **** buying an oil pick up, just sell the gsxr and get a better bike
