Newb Q's Fuck me Right?
Newb Q's **** me Right?
Allright I've been riding for a few years and decided to get into stunting, I do the whole FMX **** and always have been into street bikes so I took a 05 R6 off a buddys hands after a low speed mishap to stunt. SI cage, GPR, Round Bar, White bro's shorty exhaust (rediciously loud) -1 in the front +12 in the rear, moose easy pull clutch and a brembo 16x18 handbrake setup, inverted vortex clipons ect. I haven't used the front handbrake at all because I'm not anywhere near there yet and I need to get used to the foot brake to bring er down but I set the whole bike up with one shot.
Anyways I'm trying to get the hang of low speed wheelies, staggard and what not but it seems I'm still going to fast....I roll at a slow creep, rev it in 1st and slip the clutch out. She comes just fine I cant get the balance point quite yet, Any positive suggestion or words of wisdom.
I'm over seas in Italy and no one (that I've seen) stunts at all over here so its not like I can ask the local pro for advice.....Thanks

Re: Newb Q's **** me Right?
just slow down after the wheel is up. clutch from rolling... blah blah... then get behind balance point for just a second. you'll probably slow down so much you kill the engine.
practice rinse repeat.

Re: Newb Q's **** me Right?
turn your idle up on the right side of your bike to about 4500 rpms then clutch the bike,,, like dude said cover the brake use it,, dont wanna loop that thing
Re: Newb Q's **** me Right?
the balance point on the R6 is a lot higher than most, so it tends to make you feel uncomfortable at first. just make sure you keep your rear brake covered and learn to finesse it.
turn your idle up to around 2500rpm that should help too.

i learned with the idle up at about 6k it stops u from pussin out and forces u to use the break. now i run it at 3600 to 4000 the idle makes a big difference. Its strange at first but makes it real easy later
