Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

what problems are you having setting it up? the biggest pain is putting the idle cable in and unplugging the speed sensor but other than that .

im sure you seen bullo murder his 07rr. coltons bout to start murdering one. + many others. im just starting but it seems easy to learn on.

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

the bike seems to react funny when turning up the idle. any higher than about 2700 rpm and the rpms wanna shoot up to about 5k and not go down. just...doesnt feel right

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

its been said many times but ill say it again... you MUST unplug the speed sensor for the idle to work correctly. you will loose your speedo but its easy to connect and disconnect. here's a pic of the connector below, this is the left side of the bike.

Yo Nags!! Bumper iss my boy and he has some valid points. This bike is a total pita to setup and there is a deal with the idle jumping just like the 954. Nags, can we get a STICKY?

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

Its perfect with a 55 tooth on the rear. As for the idle on it it wasn't too jumpy on the bike I had till the cage I had on it went straight through the frame!!!! Its a cool lil bike.

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

i didn't like the strange engine brake on the ones i rode and the rear peg position sucks ...

i move the rear pegs down back and out on my omr subcages for the 600rr ,it makes the bike feel a lot roomier in the staggered position and i also rotate the peg brackets forward on there axis so the rear peg doesn't fold up during a wheelie ..

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

i took thre upper off of mine and put a db set up on it. after that the idle was fine. im not sure what fixed it... i thought it was un plugging the speedo sensor. also.... the omr subcage is a must for this bike, dont bother stunting it without one!!!

damn, dunno what the problem could be because mine rode fine once i unpluged the speed sensor . i would re-check your work around the airbox. could have missed a plug or hose after putting your idle cable in?

im learning on my 07 still but heres a few thoughts...

*must unplug speed sensor after installing idle cable for it to idle correctly. also reduces the engine brake at slow speeds.

*omr subcage is a must if your anywhere near 6ft. the bike is cramped stock.

*tygershark makes the best cage to keep the bike from rolling up on the tank. i just learned my lesson with my FI.

****right rearset can possibly snap at the master cylinder over time from heavy brake rapage. i read about this happening to someone else on SL so run aftermarket rearsets to be safe.

dunno about gearing, im still stock while i learn.

woodcraft just came out with some nice clipons.

can't think of anything else. what does everyone else think?

Re: callin all 07 08 cbr stunnas!

My rearset snapped at the master in a fast 3rd gear sitdown no hander. I saved it, but it scared the **** outta me.

-I run the woodcraft clip ons flipped. They are the bomb.
