Screwed on e-bay
Screwed on e-bay
I am setting up a 929 front end on my spare f4i. I bought a "929" rim from streetlegal1motors on ebay shipped to my door for about $100. (Hes out of mass) The rim had a chipped lip, which i knew about, so i had that welded. Then i got the rim painted metalic blue. So i already got time and money into this rim. Next thing i know is that i go to set the bearings (not included in rim) and they don't fit. The 929 bearings are 100/1000 too big. The guy shipped me an f4i rim, which i already had a mint one, and then says if if ship him the rim back he'll refund my money. Ive already invested more than what the rim is worth in bearings paint and weld.
Anyway i brought the wheel to a machine shop so they could set the bearings and convert it into a 929 rim. All I was asking him to pay was the machinest charge. He wouldn't do it.
Dont buy anything from this guy

Re: Screwed on e-bay
i have been screwed on ebay mulitple times, one time i was screwed for over 300 bucks on a frontend they guy never shipped and paypal (which totally sucks *****) only gave me back $200 of my money and i am still out over 100 bucks. you gotta be careful from who you buy from. ebay nor paypal do NOT care one little bit about anybody getting screwed.
Re: Screwed on e-bay
you could have just went to a bearing place with both sets of bearings and showed them then I.D and the O.D. of what you needed and just got new bearings to fit the f4i rim to a 929 axle.

thats why i dont like mass! ahhahaha
