fan switch

i want to wire a switch to the fan on my f4i 01 so i can turn it on and off when i want can someone tell me how to do this or what wires i have to splice into thanks

so do i find the temp switch on the radiator? then splice into the 2 wires coming off it

Yes sir ...just put a toggle in between the 2 wires coming off of it, it will still come on itself when up to temp this way too

self explanatory if you were talking about a 636 but an f4i only has one wire so you need to put a switch from the one wire to ground that way if you forget to turn on the switch the fan will still come on with temp ...

so your gonna leave the one wire connected to the temperature sending unit but splice in to it and run a switch to ground ..

roger is correct. i just grounded the wire, and my fan turns on and off with the key!
