Bleed screw / banjo swap on HB?

The screws are the same thread/pitch and will swap out.. I'm wondering if this is possible, for better clearance while putting on my HB?

It looks like the banjo is a tiny bit too long.. could i cut a few threads off or shim the banjo out? leaving on the road for work for 15 weeks tuesday, want to get some riding in before then.

thanks

o ya it's a brembo

you know there was a time when people would try things without asking, i really miss, but then i really wouldnt get to talk half as much **** as i do.

i.e take the banjo and bleeder screws out swap them and if it doesnt work, switch them back and go on riding the way you were previously.

if i remember correctly (which usually i do), its just that simple (just swap them)

Re: Bleed screw / banjo swap on HB?

haven't been riding yet, just got the brembo in the mail from a friend today.. I tried searching, but if you type "banjo" or "bleeder" or any variation of those, it comes back with a fuckton of irrelevant ****.

I already swapped the screws after the first post, but it *looks* like there's too much of the banjo exposed bc the bleeder hole tapers off and the banjo doesn't.

I'm at my moms house but i'm about to head home (where the bike is & i'll be able to test it out)

will let you kno.. thanks homie

so ******* add another one or grind the bolt down (just make sure you clean it thoroughly before re-installing it).

Re: Bleed screw / banjo swap on HB?

is stacking crush washers ok? thought it may lead to leak in the system.

I wanted to shorten it, hence my asking in the first post.

Re: Bleed screw / banjo swap on HB?

Are you sure thats a FINE thread pitch (1.0 pitch) banjo bolt? It looks like a 1.25 and that will **** up your Brembo if you tighten it.....The brembos use a different bolt thread pitch then most other brake parts....

Re: Bleed screw / banjo swap on HB?

It's the one that came off the lever..

i don't see why it'd thread in all the way and then bind up if it were a different pitch...

whats funny is that i dont remember asking for your opinion. i was just making a general statement. y2kmk and i dont have any problems and if you read his post in its entirety instead of just bumpin your gums, you would have seen that he evens says thank you. stop being a crybag and mind your own business.
