Re: what front master cylinder

I think r1 is the best ur gunna get cuz arnt they brembo ? I got the 06 07 gsxr radial and have been using them for awhile. I only use one finger but sometimes in like panic situations its just not enough. For my front brake ive never had a problem with stock no matter what bike i was on but im not rolling 500+ either though.

Re: what front master cylinder

04 + r1, 05 R6, 06+ R6 (not s), 03 + Gsxr 1k, 04+ gsxr 6/750, 04+ cbr 1krr, 07+ 600rr, 05+ zx6r/rr, 05+ zx10r and triumph 675.

These bikes come with front radial master cylinders and are all good upgrades to non radial equipped bikes.

Re: what front master cylinder

what jeromy brought to my attention is that my 04+ r1 master has to little travel while using it... more of a on off feeling... i would think one that had more travel in lever to better control brakes.... not sure what works best...

or if aftermarket are better?

smaller bore masters have more feel(or travel). and the r1/r6 has the smallest bore out of all the popular stock radial masters. mabey a brembo 16 . I really like my gixer radial though, which has the biggest bore compared to other stock radials

Re: what front master cylinder

I think its 16mm. It is a brembo, but it doesnt work nearly as good as a real brembo 16x18

Re: what front master cylinder

aftermarket masters are kickass cause you can pick the feel/travel that you like. You also pay for it.
I like my stock 05 gsxr master.
If you have to much grab, just put some air in the lines! IkidIkid..

Re: what front master cylinder

i would go with the stock master cylinder thats meant for that bike with steel lines. thats it. ive never had braking power be an issue for me. launching it up quick is mostly about throwing your weight and the bikes weight properly. you want smoothness not power.

haha thats my point... the r1 master feels like it has alot of power an others like the one that came with the bike dont have near the power but have more "feel" haha

and im jus tryn to find out what everyone likes so i can figure out what to replace the R1 master with when i put it back on my r1 haha
