i can dent any other tank just fine but my 08 600rr is plastic ???? where do i start dent it like anyother then heat the cover up and push it in ???

 

I may be wrong, but isn't only the front half plastic?

 

I knew a guy that had the same issue. He just dented the metal tank underneath and then took a heatgun to the plastic cover to mold it to the dent. Came out really nice but I don't think he could've gone very deep with it so you'll probably need some good grip tape.

JUST THE COVER IS! if you take it off bent the tank then heat the cover dent it in then poor cold water on it to set it you can get it to hold the shape!

i need to do my RR tank this week too. what a pain. i remember the good ol' days when all you needed was a good deadblow. has anyone tried sticking their tank into an oven ? LOL

 

It will be nice if they made a gas tank 600RR full aluminin (SP) :shurggs
