i tried a search but my computer wont let me so here it goes. im towing for the first time my steet bike on a flat bed trailler. i was going to put the wheel againsy the front wall and using two ratchets tie down the front w/ this pad that sits on the grips. amd use two on the pass. pegs. is this the best way?

That will work fine. You don't want it super tight or you can blow fork seals. I just use cam lock straps. Ratchets are kind of overkill. Make sure the wheel is straight against the front. Some sort of wheel chock would be ideal but you don't need it.
