I am looking at the points and wondering how the overall points are calculated?
What does a 1 or 2 mean, etc...?

 

This is all I know for now but i dont know how the system works.

I saw that site but to the right are numbers for the overall totals and I was wondering what they meant?

right but how are those points calculated?

 

each event has a total number of points allowed in it,say it allows ten and the rider gets 8 of ten. that goes onto the overall.add em all up.....overall points

 

ps thats of the top of my head.....no clue on how its really set up nor no means to find out

 

Its a point system. kinda like nascar.

1st place = 45 points
2nd = 42
etc. working its way down to the last qualifier. You get 1 bonus point for qualifying 1st. I don't know the breakdown all the way to 15th so thats why I stopped at 2nd. haha

6 events total and you get 1 bye. the person with the highest points total wins the series.

 

I dont compete and would score negative points if I did, but I am interested in how the points system works.

If you get 1 bye, does that mean if someone hits all 6 events the have a better chance of winning? Since they would have 6 totals added together instead of the person that went to 5 events and took 1 bye?

 

i think the lowest of the 6 doesnt count so really if someone goes to all 6 the lowest score of the 6 gets dropped......i hope thats right

 

No, sorry I shouldve clarified it a lil better. If you went to all 6 events, then your lowest score would be dropped.

if you dont qualify, you still get 1 point for every event you compete at, thats where the 1 and 2 come from

yes at the end of the year everyones lowest score gets dropped.. only 5 scores count

 

its goin to be interesting to see who is gonna win this deal
