ok so Darrick wrecked in his run last night, he had a few bobbles in his run so he wanted to make up by coming in hot on his circles, he pushed himself too hard went super fast into a sit down circle and low sided, crash cage squished his leg into the track. Thought it was just a bad bruise last night woke up this morning and decided to take him to the doctor, so after the x rays, yes he has a broken foot, no pressure on it for 2 weeks, he has to wear a shoe thing, if he stays off it doc said it should heal in about 4 weeks, 1st ever broken bone from stunt riding in 6 years, i guess it was his time... it could have been worse, his freakkin foot is so swollen, it's a flintstone foot, had a good time besides the heat, baby Demi got a little hot. Good to see everyone one!
Thanks Nick for keeping me calm, I was flippin out. ALso, thanks to everyone who helped me with Demi so I could watch Darrick!!!

hope he heals up good and fast, tell him to keep it elevated, it sucks having to do that, but its the best thing for the swelling.

 

yeah it was definitely a nasty lowside, seeing his ankle take the impact made me cringe! Hope he heals up quick.

You forgot to mention the gaping hole in his ankle from what I'm guessing was the foot peg puncturing his foot. I'm glad it wasn't any worse.

yes I forgot about that, dr said to just put a bandaid on that nasty cut, i'll get pics up tomorrow of the x ray and the hole, it was the crash cage bolt for the side struts that made that hole near his ankle oh yes forgot to mention bike is fine:YEAH

i was just super excited to get out there and qualify.
it was sooooo much fun meeting a lot of people i have known for a while, just never knew in person.
the foot is doing good already.....not too much pain, just a little swelling.
thanks twite and everyone else who helped me get off the track (jb, apex for keeping my wife calm even tho i gave her the ok look several times, and everyone for checking on me etc. etc.) and lin thank you for not licking my open wound, and you owe me for the peg bracket!!!!!!
other than that i wouldnt trade this weekend except for one thing......i have about 40 vicodins if anyone can give me a time machine so i can go back and redo my run

That had to suck to see your man get hurt! Nick's a great guy to have around. I could see him being able to keep things straight. Him and Ernie both seem to carry the "everything is gonna be ok" vibe.

Glad to hear it wasn't worse and hope derrick heals up fast.

Now you just have to keep him from ******* it up before it heals completely.
