clip on question?
clip on question?
hey i herd you can just take your stock clip ons and just turn em up side down for a more wider feel is this true? if so can i do it to my f4i and will my clutch cable and stuff be long enough? shouldnt have to mod anything?? :YEAH
Re: clip on question?
lol seriously swap sides?? ok if so i shouldnt have to get longer cables for anything?? or anything like that? i should be able to just swap em and be on my way right??
Re: clip on question?
i dont think the f4i clip ons flip so well, ive heard of ppl doing it but i tried it and there was grinding and **** that had to be done and it was all together not safe. buy some vortex and flip those.
Re: clip on question?
ya 636 clipons flip and switch good cause they come out at the middle but unless you have a 929 954 front end on you f4i they wont work cause they are bigger then the stock f4i clip ons
Re: clip on question?
so no go on the flippy flippy clip ons?? if i have to do grinding and stuff i wont do it i thought u could just flip em and that was it simple as that.. so no go huh? dam =( lol thought it was a free little trick =)
Re: clip on question?
You can flip F4i clipons with out worrying about it.. I used a dremel and slowly grinded away untell it fit. it wont get thin or week or nothing. tell you the truth they were stronger than my vortex. My vortex have bent down.. Ive been riding on them for about 7 months and I need new tubes .So go for it. actualy other than grinding the onlything you gotta do is drill a new hole in the throttle side bar for the little pin that holds the throttle assembly from rotating.
Re: clip on question?
don't waste your time flipping f4i clip ons........you can buy woodcraft and if you dont have the $ then just turn out you **** and raise em a bit higher. woodcrafts are best though

Re: clip on question?
the bolts wont line up anyway if you have em flipped n turned straight, because remember when they are in the stock location they are angled back

+1000
love my db bars, and i must say hated db bars with a passion till i actually bought a bike that already had em on it and now cant get away from em Re: clip on question?
nope you donīt need them, the single screw will hold up fine, I have 636 clips that way on my 954 and though I used the right tourqe on the screw it was so tightened that it dented my fork when I crashed hard, so you see the 2nd screw that goes in the triple is not necessary, itīs just to make sure that every dummie can mount it in the right position on stock bikes.

but hey... if i get the db bars ( wich i want) i have to get a longer clutch cable and shiit right??
