Scotts vs GPR

Re: Scotts vs GPR
Ok, here's my opinion. From what I have been told, Scotts invented the concept of a rotory damper. Thats great and all, but GPR took the idea and made it far better!
1. The Scotts has a round post that goes into a round hole in the arm and has a very small aluminum pin to hold them together which easily shears (especially with constant abuse from stunting). No good.
GPR has a square post that goes into a square hole in the arm. Try busting that!
2. The Scotts does not have a good way of telling what setting you have it on and it rotates all the way in for stiff, all the way out for soft.
GPR has easy to read marked settings and you can go directly from the hardest setting to the softest and vice-versa.

Re: Scotts vs GPR
I've run a scotts on my dirt bike for years. the same one... it takes the abuse. Our stunters don't hit the ground nearly as hard or as often as my db does.
Never had a damper for stunting... but I want one

Re: Scotts vs GPR
Scotts are great, GPR's are crap, i dont know about u but when i spend 400 bucks on something i dont want it to leak oil. Cry me a river u cant see what setting ur on, like it doesn't take 2 sec. to find out.

Re: Scotts vs GPR
my GPR leaked when it was brand new and I had to send it in, and it seems there is still some oil coming out sometimes... ....but it works great, better than everything I had before, no more headshake in stoppies, but it could be more sensible

Re: Scotts vs GPR
GPR 100% over everything else, heard nightmare stories about scotts, rods bend n break easy in a crash. i've had 3 GPRs and never one issue with um, i street stunt a lot and do things very randomly, i'd pay an extra $100 just to be able to know exactly where mine is set at by simply lookin down, friend of mine almost got killed with a scotts.
