hot headers ???

got a ? does any one no if turning up the idol on an 05 gsxr 600 to 3000 will make the header pips glow red?

it shouldnt glow unless it is WAY too hot, make sure the fan is working and maybe even wire it up to stay on when the key is on. havent had any problems with mine overheating and when I was learning idle I had it turned up to like 4500 and still didnt overheat.

no mods on the bike, PC3 was pulled out, sprocket kit and a chopped stock can (if you consider those mods) motor is bone stock

do the GSXR's have a mixture screw like the F4i? hes got a piece of hose attached to whatever **** is under there to crank his idle. making the bike run lean will raise the idle and make the headers cook.
