XDL+FMF = CONTINUING XDL EVENTS

MONEY DOESN'T GROW ON TREES BRO.... If you'd go to an xdl event you'd see how much the XDL takes care of their riders.... Or in your eye's do you think it should come out of Randy and Thomas's Pocket? How many comps you been to where you dont have to pay. Breakfast, lunch & dinner is taken care of. They listen to your opinion and the judging is based on skill not who you are? cant get more unbiased than that.

Ive been around the game long enough to see some **** happen. To have big name companies like FMF, Two Bros, Red Bull, Go Fast, Monster, Vortex, not to mention kawi support this industry is phenominal. Back in the day, riders were lucky to have a local sponsor to help give them a deal on tires, or at the most some money to do a local show. Support from big name companies is exactly what this "sport" needs to grow and attract more outside influences such as: bigger venues, bigger crowds, etc.

You say FMF is just in this to take our money. Well your right, a company isnt a company if it doesnt want to be successful and make money. Sure they want our money, BUT, they are putting it back into the sport to help it grow. More company support = Larger payouts. Larger payouts in turn give riders more chances to compete, better parts, newer bikes, and a chance to try to make a living at doing what they love. The benefits from having major companies backing this industry are endless. I dont see how you could possibly think this is bad

I would like a definition of Squid again... I've been at it almost a year, and I never claimed that I was good at all. my stoppies suck... maybe roll 10ft. I can balance a wheelie, but Not indefinitely. getting coasters, but only short distances. Been trying to circle, can get half turn sometimes, usually only quarters.
Oh yeah, and i eat **** all the time, so I wear gear; lid, armor, gloves and boots. I thought squid was more like newbie claiming the world riding w/out protective gear.

haha no doubt. but i was referring to it having nothing to do with progressing the sport. sure, it helps pay for xdl and stuff which is great for all you guys who are involved. but i look at it as more of a win for the companies by expanding their market (ubiquity is not always a good thing). i mean, of course it helps those endorsed like yourself which is how it should be because i can only imagine how much work you put in. HOWEVER, i still digress at the thought of them doing much to further advance the sport into a greater arena.

POINT MADE: i think the sport has peaked for the most part. i also believe the companies are making out a little better than the stunters. but hell, ive never even been to a show and i have no clue as to what you guys recieve and you gotta give credit where credit's due on both sides. and i stunt recreationally so calm down, its all good to me.
