MSR EZ Pull vs Moose EZ Pull (lever length)

I ordered a Moose EZ Pull clutch lever (not the system) from HAI. When it showed up the lever is VERY short. I would call it a shorty. It only comes about halfway or less to the end of the grip. HAI claims that is the standard lever and the shorty replacement is even 1" shorter. Something that short wouldn't even be reachable by the index finger on my R6. Anyway, they claim the MSR Rapter EZ Pull with the standard lever has the same lever length as the one I have. I was just wondering if someone that has seen both can comfirm this. I really want an EZ Pull with a fairly regular length lever. I have attached two pictures. One with the Moose and one comparing the Moose with the lever that was on the bike.

Re: MSR EZ Pull vs Moose EZ Pull (lever length)

So the longest lever is a shorty and the shorty is a super-shorty? It doesn't make sense to have a reduced pull lever and then have the lever so much shorter. I guess with the reduced effort you can just use 2 fingers. Thanks for the help.

Re: MSR EZ Pull vs Moose EZ Pull (lever length)

why the hell would u use more than 1 finger on an easy pull lever? if u cant pull even a standard clutch in with only 1 finger youre probably a little light in the pants and if you are complaining about 1 finger on an ez pull lever then youre a flat out vagina.

If you are gonna stunt it you shouldn´t use more than 1 or 2 fingers on the clutch anyway, most people shorten the levers even more when having a hb

Well my reason is a problem with my left wrist (Kienbock's disease). About 10-15 on the bike is all I can take. I will probably just end up having to have surgery. Thanks for the reply. I just wanted to make sure I had the right thing.

I feel ya, I broke my thumb a few months ago and pulling on the clutch/HB hurts pretty bad after a while. On f4i's you can add a 1/2inch to the clutch arm(on the engine case) and the pull is effortless, not sure about the r6's though.

I had this setup and the moose had too much pressure on the perch caused the cable to ware out the alluminum.

Mine was easy to pull. The nut inside the perch and the adjuster are too weak to handle any extra pressure on the perch. the cable was cutting into the adjuster and the clutch would not pull and disengage the clutch. I just got a dirt perch and lever and switch the position of the handbrake and clutch and is just as good.

Re: MSR EZ Pull vs Moose EZ Pull (lever length)

This thread proves how gay Stuntlife is now. How is this stunt related; why does being 13 and having an f4i matter to anyone?

My lever is cut so short I cant even fit a full finger on it and its fine. I don't have diseases though maybe you should think about priorities. Fix your hand first, then write a thread about what a ***** you are.

When you put a new easy pull perch on your bike place the cable position in the lowest setting and JB Weld over the top of it so the tab cannot break. Replace the cable adjuster with one for a dirt bike, shorten the lever, use the plastic handlebar spacer, and you'll be fine.
