Re: are wave rotors for the rear worth it???

fancy rotors are for POSERS!

how bad is your rotor? take it to a machine shop and have them resurface it. if there isnt enough meat on in, get a used one off ebay for cheap, have that one surfaced and get new pads.

Re: are wave rotors for the rear worth it???

sounds about average to me. see what a machine shop would charge you to surface it. My buddy did mine, he didnt do it on a lathe, he said its flatter than a new one.

you know what? how long can you be without it? send it to me, I'll have him do it and I'll mail it back... paypal me the return shipping.

i dont know bout that, there are minimum thickness specs for rotors and if its grooved like he described just scrap it and get another one i mean we are talkin about breaks here, the lifeline when stunt riding..............

Re: are wave rotors for the rear worth it???

as long as its not paper thin, it will be ok. even the most tore up rotor should still have enough material left to keep it from bending/breaking. what about front brakes? those are 70% of your stopping. if the rear ends up being too thin, it will just warp quicker.

If your intending on buying new wave rotors are usually cheaper (if not the same price) as OEM.
