Love ninja 250's, hate the front brakes. I wasn't as easy as just swapping front ends, the steering stem on the 636 won't even fit in the 250 neck. The 250 stem was cut out, and pressed into the 636 lower triple, assembled with the 250 bearings & races. Just got it together yesterday, it looks factory and the bike rides like it belongs, front fender off the 250 bolted right up to the 636 brackets. Will be at stuntfest to check out.

I love it :YEAH ....now if there were just a way to get a bigger rear wheel on there so the tires wouldnt be the same size lol
wonder how that would feel for endos

That for some reason just doesn't look right...probably due to the angle of the forks and how close the controls look to the tank.

I may be buying on of theses things in a few days form a ins. auction..(to ride to work and back 60+mpg)..I was going to do the same front end swap to it if I get it....
Re: Kane, as you requested! 08' Ninja 250 w/636 front end.
why are you guys even thinking about endos with this bike????? i'm sure it will be fun to throw around but Endos!!!? by the time you get up to say 60mph you'll be in 4th and roll what? 100-200 ft......... not worth the dough involved with the swap if you ask me.i'll bet i'll roll just as long with the stock front,as i will with the inverts... but what do i know
looks cool though

60 MPG my ***. With F4i's Honda claims 50mpg. Still with stock gearing I get about 30-34mpg.. and with that little *** 250 your gonna have to be maxed out the whole time just to get around. taking over a minute to get from 55 to 100. unless your slow and just dont give a **** about cars comming up behind you mabe you could get 60. but that sounds boring.
oh and cool swap by the way.. what ever makes it feel better to you right?!?
Re: Kane, as you requested! 08' Ninja 250 w/636 front end.
size means nothing , I ride a cbr 150 with bicycle tires

Well IF I get this one I'm looking at it will be for $500 or less (curent bid is at $300)..And it needs forks and a front wheel just to be able to ride it...I wont be trying to put it back to minty just ridable....******* thing got totaled out with 46 miles on the gauge...lol.....
if it dont get the 60+mpg they claim, it will still be better than my f/s truck and my geared R6
Re: Kane, as you requested! 08' Ninja 250 w/636 front end.
anyone have any ideas on a rear wheel or swingarm swap.....i would think something would be able to be done with the 650 rear wheel, or whole rear setup. atleast u could run a 160 tire in the back
