Re: dented tank

The threads give good info but I havent seen a 600RR dent that looks clean right after melting. Usually they melt it up bad and have to come back and fiberglass or fill all the finger prints they left. Im going to try their method but with a round wood roller to push on the plastic as its hot. To any of you that got a clean dent the first time lets see it and tell how you did it. Ive seen the other threads and lets just say I wasnt impressed .....REMEMBER SL 600RR is what were talking about because you dont dent it like a normal tank. It has a tank and then a plastic cover.

Re: dented tank

thank you nags, i remember one that has pictures and they used a work out weight to smooth the dent(plastic cover) so yes we know you have a difrent tank than most, still no excuse not to use the search FIRST !

Re: dented tank

Hey nags could you send me a link to a Clean dent after melting cuz i have yet to see one unless they re fiberglass.

I know the dents look great sometimes but Im saying that you cant just melt it that way.
I am a car painter and I just cant see a smooth dent like some have getting that way without
having to add some kind of filler, sanding, and repainting
