I replaced the front end of my bike recently... just got a battery ad now all im waiting for is a clutch line and perch. I went to start my bike the other day just to hear her and all me damned if it didnt start. I dont know if it is my clutch line (which i doubt) or if it could be the HISS or whatever little mechanism on my ignitioin that is effin me up. I just had a regular top tree and ignition before but now i have this thing i know nothing about. What can i do? I NEED TO RIDE! no ****... im like almost having a nervous breakdown having to drive a car. I feel like SINNER. Help? Anyone?

do you have you clutch lever and perch taken off?
dont you have to have you clutch pulled in to start you bike?

I thought about that... i dont know though because it has a strong turnover and the fuel pump works good... i dont really pay attention to how i start the bike... its like second nature and now im second guessing myself...

um slow down, you didnt answer my ?'s from my 1st post WTF!

 

no... the perch is still on... the cable end at the perch is off and the other end is connected at the clutch case. Do you have to have the clutch pulled in? its a 929?

 

 

there should be a lil micro switch on your clutch perch see if there is, if so pull the 2 wires off the switch they should just unplug and touch em together and then try to start it!!!!

 

2 safety features... the 2 wires on the clutch perch need to be connected IF the bike is in gear. (i.e. clutch pulled in)

The other feature is the kickstand. The bike will not start if it is in gear, and the kickstand is down... I believe whether or not the clutch is pulled in.

So... you in neutral?

he said it turns over! the kickstand and the clutch saftys wont even let it turn so...... did u check the plugs like i told u to in the other post!

 

You are the WORST at explaining the problems you are having. Something about a "Hiss", something about a clutch perch, something about your clutch cable, something about your bike turns over... WTF is going on?!?!??!
