so yesterday at work a co worker of mine says he getting a mazda speed 3. he wants to race insisting he can beat sport bikes. i told him im not a racing kinda guy but if i was im pretty sure i could beat him in a quarter mile. he seems to think those cars can beat rockets. i didnt feel like arguing about a car i have no information on so i let him think he what ever he wanted. are those cars really that fast stock?
I just saw booya's from canada...that explains everything. Damn canadians

I'll break it down one time for those who ain't knowing.
Most 1000cc bikes will do low 10's, high 9's with a good rider. Even a 600cc can pull off a mid to high 10 with a good rider. Bikes are great from 0-60mph, the light weight and excelent traction make them quick off the line. After that your momentum is already moving and the weight becomes less of a issue and HP takes over. If I was to drag race any new 600 in my 07 Z06 from a dead stop I would lose. My car would hit 11.5 at best and the 600 should easily beat that doing a high 10 low 11, 0-60 in under 3 sec vs my car at probably high 3's to low 4's. Now start the race at 60,70, 80mph and the vette with 505hp vs the bikes 115-120hp walks it pretty badly. Now the vette against a 1000cc even at a 80mph roll is gonna get waxed, but all new bikes are limited to 186 and the vette does 197 so eventually I'm gonna pass, but most people arent goint to race to 200mph. I'd say if a car has 500hp it can beat a 600 from a roll, if a car has 7-800+hp it can beat a 1000cc bike from a roll.

a few weeks back i was at wed night drags at infineon and there were a few 600's runnin it.
one guy on the gsxr managed to do a 10.8 or 9.
the other 2 guys who were on r6's were doin 11.7 i was shocked..
a 04 cobra that was up there the same day was doin quicker runs than that.

The OP should give someone his bike that can make better use of it. Almost all the cars you find on a streets are going to be raped by a 600. In less you find a car modded to hell a 600 should just play with a car and then smoke it on 1 wheel

ive raced mazda speeds 3 and 6, and beat them like like crazy with my 3000gt. i have an Sl 300gt with only an injen intake and 350z's cant pull on me.
i know somebody who has a 515 hp Volkswagon GLI....ive also pulled on him on my f3. (with all my fairings removed..lol who needs aerodynamics?)
now i keep saying "pulled" because they were just roll on races...not drag races with a finish line.
for fun i drag raced an old man in a z06 and got my *** beat so bad...just for the fun.
im not racing for a very long time now i recently had a friend pass away in a car accident...
i know somebody who has a 515 hp Volkswagon GLI....ive also pulled on him on my f3. (with all my fairings removed..lol who needs aerodynamics?)
now i keep saying "pulled" because they were just roll on races...not drag races with a finish line.
for fun i drag raced an old man in a z06 and got my *** beat so bad...just for the fun.

a 350z will pull on a stock non turbo 3000gt those things are horseshit also wtih a good driver.. and a 515hp volkswagen gli if it really has that much HP should have smoked you bad...
the z06 you should of been able to smoke off the line no problem.
